During the period starting in the fall of 1970 the Colleton High was located in a separate building that includes the ninth and tenth grades, it was an extremely important part of Walterboro High.  The two schools share coaches, the chorus director, team-sport participants, and cheerleaders.  Colleton and Walterboro join forces to present a Christmas and Spring Concert each year, both schools are represented in the Pawprint, and the WHS Student Council members are elected from the CHS sophomore class.  It is a long-range plan to eventually combine the two schools when a new building is feasible.  The new building on Bulldog Ave was completed in 1982 and the two merged into one in the fall of 1982.  The first yearbook is for 1983.

COLLETON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOKS

In the fall of 2002 the Walterboro High School and the Ruffin High School merged and became the Colleton County High School.
